SBF Press Briefing

SBF launching Sean Rickard's agriculture trade report

Save British Farming’s press briefing features in this week’s Farmer’s Weekly. Former NFU chief economist Dr. Sean Rickard lays bare the bleak outlook for farmers if the government fails to reach an agreement with the EU. Rutland farmer Andrew Brown expects his farm, which his family have owned for over 300 years, will likely fold in the event of a no-deal Brexit.

Tories vote down amendments

Gove: “As we leave the EU we will deliver a Green Brexit, not only maintaining but enhancing animal welfare standards.” Last night he voted against this clause to be included in the new Agriculture Bill. This means lower food standards for us all, and British farming being decimated. Write to your MP about this. If you’ve already written, then write again.
